You may not have heard of Old Bay Spice. Its a genius mix of 18 herbs and spices that was first created in America in the late 1930’s. Predominantly used as a seafood seasoning, it quickly grew in popularity and nowadays is used on almost anything!
Made with non-irradiated herbs and spices, this local version doesn’t disappoint! We love to combine it with lemon juice and olive oil to make marinades, sprinkle it over our roasted veggies, potato chips, eggs, popcorn, and salads, or add it to Greek yoghurt and mayo to make dips. Old Bay spice also compliments fish, chicken and beef really well and adds a lovely flavour to meatballs, burger patties, and meaty pasta sauces.
